Qatar, the world’s largest LNG producer, shipped an LNG cargo from the Ras Laffan Port to Taiwan on Saturday, shipping data reveals.
The cargo is being carried by the 145,800 cubic-meter Simaisma, and it is due to arrive at the Taichung LNG terminal on October 4.
CPC of Taiwan officially inaugurated the Taichung LNG terminal, Taiwan’s second LNG terminal, in 2009.
The company plans to boost the terminal’s annual output capacity to 5 million tons from the existing 3 million tons.
